Assignment Guidelines

Model a futuristic mars transport vehicle using the reference provided below.

The vehicle design should have off road ability,with multiply wheels

and large tires. There needs to be a driver area/cockpit,

a cargo transport bay, with opening platform.

Your vehicle can carry weapons, machinery, supplies, or people.

Please consider adding the following elements that help indicate scale: doors, ladder, handle, lights, extra compartments, latches, and other related small details.

Please consider developing thumbnails sketches of your vehicle before you start designing in Maya.

Robot Mech fun..

Assignment Guidelines- Design and build a MECH robot. This robot can have multiple arms, 2 legs, a head, a core body that an individual could sit within to operate the vehicle, and some type of protective armor.

-Establish a theme for your robot that will help guide you in the design process.( Think about mimicking nature- BUGS, & animals to enhance your design.) Follow these 2 design guidelines below.

1st- Where is your MECHt from?- is your MECH for humans, or aliens. The design of the body parts would reflect the civilization that it is from, and its purpose.

2nd- What is your MECH used for? -is it used for factory work, for clearing mines, under the ocean, mining on mars, for battle- is it air force, infantry, heavy infantry. Considering all these aspects will help your in developing a stronger design.

Please refer to the reference below for anatomy considerations for your MECH. Your MECH should have components that make proper anatomical sense.

Toy Design

Congratulations...you have just been hired at Hasbro as a toy designer within the GI JOE division.

-Some history-  

The Hasbro GI JOE, and COBRA line of toys has been doing extremely well over the past 35 years. THE RISE OF COBRA 2009, was their first feature film released in 2009, expanding their toy division, and marketing outreach. On March 29, 2013, Hasbro will be releasing the follow up movie, GI JOE RETALIATION.

Your assignment-

Create a new vehicle for either COBRA, or Gi JOE. 

Assignment guidelines-

1. This vehicle needs to be new design, something that we have not seen before.

2.It needs to have some kind of tank tread on it. I didn't saw where..use you imagination.

3. There needs to we a hatch

4. There should be turrets of some kind.

5. Lights

6. There needs to be cockpit for at least one driver, with canopy.

Create silhouette thumbnails, and  mini mach models first before entering your final build!
